Where you can launch drones

Drones cannot be launched near airports, secret and military facilities. Flights within a radius of 7 km from them are prohibited.

It is not recommended to fly over 100 m, and flying drones at altitudes of more than 300 m in most counties is completely prohibited. Also, you cannot fly near large crowds.

Fly only over objects or land where you have the permission of the owner. Respect the work of law enforcement: if you are asked to stop flying, do it.

Drone Warranty

All officially sold drones are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. To verify the availability of a guarantee, ask the seller for a certificate of conformity and design research along with a warranty card.

There are many quadrocopters imported from China or the USA on the market; they are not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, therefore, even with factory defects, no one will refund you money or replace the device with a new one. Each official drone sales center should offer free or paid training.

The leading brands of drones are DJI and Parrot. Cheaper, but no less reliable options are Yuneec and Hubsan.

Battery capacity

The drones on the market today are designed for a flight time of 5 to 30 minutes. The optimal flight time on one battery is up to half an hour, this is a kind of industry standard. Moreover, the longer the flight, the more expensive the cost of the drone. It is much cheaper to buy three to four additional batteries and change them.

How to control a drone

Drones are controlled either from a smartphone using a special application or by remote control. Cheaper models are controlled via a smartphone with a Wi-Fi connection - this is rather inconvenient, since they have a communication radius of no more than 50 m, and it’s difficult to control the drone on the touch screen of a smartphone without experience. Beginners should better choose models with remote control. Before buying, try on the remote with your hands. It should feel comfortable in the palms.

To get high-quality images from this copter, it must have a camera with stabilization and a resolution of at least 5 megapixels.

Choose a model in which there is an "autopilot" function. Then, during the flight, you can focus on choosing the most suitable camera angle, and not on controlling the drone.
